Key Components:

Target Audience:

o Primarily women, but also encompassing households and the broader community.

Educational Focus:

o Essential Nutrition: Teach the importance of key nutrients and a balanced diet.
o Good Cooking Practices: Empower communities with skills for preparing healthy meals.

Community Engagement:

o Field Farmer Schools: Collaborate with schools to promote good nutrition practices.
o Community Workshops: Conduct sessions to demonstrate healthy cooking techniques.

Objective:

ADECOR aims to conduct nutrition campaigns focused on educating target communities, particularly women, about essential nutrition in the Rubavu, Nyabihu, and Musanze districts.

Expected Outcomes:

Increased knowledge of essential nutrition among women and communities. Improved cooking practices that contribute to better health and nutrition.

Workshops and Training: Offer interactive workshops that provide practical skills and knowledge. School Programs: Engage students in learning about nutrition.

30% improvement in hygiene standards compliance through market monitoring & training for food handlers in targeted districts.

Impacted 1,200+ households through training, demonstration plots, and community awareness on nutrition.

GREEN ACTION WEEK – A week‑long campaign to promote sustainable consumption, tree planting, and eco‑friendly practices among schools and communities in Kigali.

Activities: school sensitization, urban gardening demos, waste‑sorting workshops, and a “green market” fair.
